We provide expansive services, from Documentation to Redemption of Licenses/Authorizations related to DGFT (Licenses/ Advance Authorizations, EPCG, Benefits), Customs (CHA, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Duty Drawback) and Indirect Taxes (Rebate/ Refund of Excise Duty and Service Tax).

DGFT

IEC (Importer Exporter Code) Number/ EPCs & FIEO Registration - We provide assistance in obtaining these pre-requisite documents for Foreign Trade i.e. Importer Exporter Code No. (IEC) from DGFT and Registration cum Membership Certificate (RCMC) from concerned Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) or FIEO.

Duty Exemption/ Remission Schemes  We provide complete assistance (from Application to Redemption) to utilize the benefits of the following schemes:

Duty Exemption Schemes - It consists of the following:

  • Advance Authorization (AA) Scheme - AA is issued to allow duty free import of input for production of export products. It is issued for inputs in relation to resultant products either on the basis of Standard Input Output Norms or on the basis of Self Declaration as per the prescribed procedures. The regular Exporters can avail the AA benefits on the basis of their preceding two financial years' export performances for annual requirement.
  • Duty Free Import Authorization (DFIA) Scheme - DFIA is issued to allow the duty free imports of inputs on post- export basis for products for which Standard Input Output Norms have been notified. The application needs to be filed before commencing export under DFIA.
Duty Remission Scheme (DRS) - At present, it consists of
  • Duty Drawback (DBK) Scheme - It is administered by the Department of Revenue and is operated by the Customs Authorities. It is an another option to claim duty refund on inputs, used in exports, for the exporter who may not wish to avail the Duty Exemption Schemes. The rates are reviewed on an annual basis and paid after the export is completed.

Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme - The EPCG Scheme is to facilitate import of Capital Goods required for producing quality goods and services in accordance to International Standards. The import of Capital Goods are subject to Actual User Condition till Export Obligation is completed. We provide comprehensive services (from application to redemption) to avail this Scheme's benefit.

Exports from India Schemes (EIS) - The objective of this Scheme is to provide rewards to exporters and increase their market competitiveness. All goods, products which are produced/manufactured in India are covered under Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS). Whereas all service exports providers are covered under Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS).

  • Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) - This Scheme is an amalgamation of 5 earlier Schemes i.e. Focus Product Scheme (FPS), Market Linked Focus Product Scheme (MLFPS), Focus Market Scheme (FMS), Agri. Infrastructure Incentive Script (AIIS), Vishesh Krishi and Gram Udyog Yojna (VKGUY) for rewarding Merchandise exports with different kinds of duty scripts with varying conditions attached to their usage. Now, under the new scheme no conditionality is attached to the scripts issued. The various groups of products supported under MEIS along with the country groupings, eligible for rewards are detailed in Annexure 1 of FTP, 2015-2020.
  • Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS) - The earlier 'Served from India Scheme' (SFIS) has been replaced with SEIS. SEIS implies that all service providers located in India only are eligible for rewards as per details stated in Annexure 1 of FTP, 2015-2020.

    The rewards are in the form of Duty Credit Scripts. These Scripts are freely transferable and can be used for payment of duties, taxes etc as per the Scheme. We facilitate the Script Transactions as well. We provide facilitate all assistance required for the various earlier reward schemes like FPS/FMS/MLFPS/VKGUY/SFIS/SHIS/Incremental Exports Incentivization Scheme, etc including Script Transactions.

Export of commodities under Specific Policies/ Notifications: The export and import of certain commodities and products are governed by specific policies, notifications, rules and regulations issues from time to time. For example - Agricultural products like Sugar, Cotton, Cotton Yarn, Wheat, Non-Basmati Rice, Minerals like Iron Ore and other Major or Minor Ores, Forest Products, Metals, etc are governed by quantitative, qualitative, price and destination based restrictions. NOMOS facilitate export and import of such commodities and products which includes registration of contracts and any other service required by the client from DGFT.

Status Holder - Recognition is granted by DGFT to Exporters who have excelled in International Trade and have been contributing immensely to India's Foreign Trade. All Exporters of Goods, Services and Technology are eligible for recognition as a Status Holder as per the guidelines indicated in Foreign Trade Policy. The FOB value of all exports including deemed exports is counted to determine the eligibility. A lot of privileges are available to the Status Holders depending on the Status Category. We provide all assistance to the Exporters for obtaining the Status Holder Category according to their respective performance and availment of privileges attached to it.

Deemed Exports - Refer to those transactions in which goods manufactured in India are supplied within the country as specified by DGFT. The payment for such supplies are received either in Indian Rupee or in free Foreign Exchange. Some of the examples for deemed exports are:

  • Supply of goods against Advance Authorization/DFIA
  • Supply of goods to EOU/STPI/EHTP/BTP etc.
  • Supply of Capital Goods against EPCG Authorization
  • Supply of goods to United Nations or International Organizations for their official use or projects financed by them which are approved by GOI
  • Supply made to Mega Power projects
  • Supply of goods to projects which are notified by GOI

Duty Drawback (DBK)
Duty Drawback is the rebate of duty chargeable on imported or excisable material used in the manufacturing of goods meant for exports. Duty Drawback may be availed by the exporter either under All Industry Rate or Brand Rate.
All Industry Rates are fixed by Directorate of Drawback under Ministry of Finance, and reviewed/ revised annually.
For special types of products Brand Rates may be fixed by the Jurisdictional Commissioner of Central Excise as per the prescribed Rules and Regulations.
Special Brand Rates can be applied by a manufacturer exporter who may find that the actual duty paid by him on inputs is higher than the All Industry Rate fixed by the Ministry for his product. In such cases the Jurisdictional Commissioner of Central Excise may fix a Special Brand Rate as per the merits and Rules and Regulations applicable.
